FIFTH SINGLES TITLE FOR DAVID RILEY
David Riley won his fifth Club Major Singles Championship defeating Damien Saunders
in the final played on Sunday 23rd August. The final was very competitive with David
only getting to the lead in the latter stages of the game. David will now represent
the Club at the UHDBA Champion of Champion Singles playoffs in August. -
Representative honors for Scone Bowlers
Congratulations to Tristan Wells & David Riley on their selection in the Zone 6 side
to contest the Pat Geary Shield on 12-13 August 2017 -
Zone Pennant Titles for Grades 3 & 6
On 24th June 2017 @ Maitland City Bowling Club the Clubs' Grade 3 & 6 sides
completed a rare double with both wining their respective Zone titles.
Both teams will now contest the State Pennant Playoffs to be held on the 4-6 August
with Grade 3 will travelling back to Maitland and Grade 6 to Tamworth for these playoffs.
These wins complemented a successful day for the Upper District with Denman winning
Grade 2 and Scone RSL Grade 5 Zone titles.
